The Kansas City Data KC Office launched a new online dashboard to track shelter bed availability for individuals that need a place to stay overnight during winter weather. The dashboard is updated daily with data from all participating providers including shelters, community groups, street outreach workers, etc. Tracking shelter bed capacity enables city staff to see trends more clearly and be better prepared to help with additional resources during extreme weather events.
