Kapiti Coast District Council created No8 Wire Week an annual programme of free events designed to foster community resilience, resourcefulness, and environmental responsibility. The community-led events are suitable for all ages including hands-on workshops, public forums, arts and crafts, etc. The events celebrate local talent and teach residents practical ways to reduce their environmental impacts.
