Kirklees Council, GB seeks a partner for its low-emission affordable housing program

Kirklees Council, GB Low-Emission Affordable Housing

Ideation

Council leaders are looking for a consultant to plan 100 affordable homes with low carbon footprints. The request calls for 20 Passivhaus-certified homes and the remaining 80 homes to use modular construction for reduced emissions. Project partners will also identify properties for five self-built Passivhaus homes and low-emission retirement housing. Kirklees Council determined that cutting emissions in new home construction can contribute to its net-zero emissions goal by 2038.
