Leeds City Council, GB Women's Night Safe Space Pilot

In Progress

City-backed Safer Leeds and Women's Lives Leeds use a bus as a safe space for the three-weekend pilot. Women who feel unwell or unsafe can charge their phones and get out of the cold. Local police officers handle incident reports and assist with resident concerns. Council staffers help with arranging taxi trips and referring patrons to social services. The Women's Night Safe Space bus also highlights local businesses that participate in the Ask for Angela safety program.
