London Borough of Islington partnered with North London Waste Authority to launch a Low Plastic Zone in Farringdon. The Council invited local businesses to participate by signing a commitment to offer items in larger refillable containers and encourage customers to bring reusable cups, bottles, and bags. The Low Plastic Zone was created to encourage residents, visitors, and businesses to reduce single-use plastic waste.
