Napier City Council, NZ COVID-19 Business Response Fund
Napier City Council created a Business Response Fund to support businesses that lost revenue due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The $50,000 fund was established by pooling together unallocated economic development promotion funding. Allocated funds were used to cover business costs including online marketing, website development, events, promotional materials, etc. Applicants were assessed by a funding panel including the Mayor, Economic Development Manager, and a local Councillor.
