Nelsonville park officials are asking for community support on social media to earn grants for a new dog park. Residents are encouraged to post expressions of support for a dog park on Facebook or on the Nelsonville Dog Park website. According to Nelsonville park officials, most grants want to see that the local community is supportive of the park. The goal is to receive funding for establishing a fenced-in, off-leash dog park to replace a wastewater treatment plant in the process of closing.
