In Progress
The $1.1 million program uses sensor data, satellite imagery, and social media analysis for targeted financial assistance to flood victims. Project partner Center for NYC Neighborhoods (CNYCN) receives an automated payment when a certain percentage of a neighborhood is impacted by flooding. This payment opens an application process through CNYCN for affected households earning up to 165% of the area median income. Successful applicants receive up to $15,000 within days of approval.
