The Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake partnered with RealTerm Energy to convert 598 streetlights to LED fixtures. The town contracted this streetlight conversion based on annual projections that it will create significant (67%) energy savings and decrease the carbon footprint (151 metric tons) of the community. Additionally, installing LED streetlights should allow the Town to reduce maintenance costs, increase lighting quality, and improve roadway safety.
