Oakville, ON Sustainable Garden Demonstration Pilot

Project partners Halton Food and Oakvillegreen are developing separate plots at Kingsford Gardens Park. The Halton-run Oakville Food Forest houses fruit and nut trees along with dense foliage that rejuvenates the park's biodiversity. Oakvillegreen will convert its lot into the Oakville Pollinator Pathway using wildflowers and native plants. Town officials are working with volunteer groups to tend the gardens and teach the community how to grow healthy food.
