Richmond, CA Bolt Bikeshare Improve Access Public Transit

In Progress

The bikeshare program distributes 250 electric bikes to hubs like the Ferry Terminal and the Transit Center. Richmond residents access Bolt e-bikes using the operator's app or by linking their MTC Clipper transit card to their accounts. Project partner 511 Contra Costa covers the unlock fee charged by Bolt for five rides per new user. Bolt increases rider safety with a free helmet on each bike and a speed limit of 15 miles per hour in pedestrian areas.
