The Municipality of Smallingerland is offering every resident an opportunity to borrow a free thermal imaging camera from their local library. The thermal imaging cameras are provided as part of the municipality's Reduction Energy Consumption Regulation initiative. The cameras allow residents to detect areas where heat is leaking via a mobile app so they can install better insulation and lower monthly energy costs.
