St Francois County, MO official county seal design contest
St Francois County launched an open contest to design the new official county seal after receiving negative press for the county seal designed by the Presiding Commissioner in 2018. The winner will be selected from blinded entries presented to an anonymous panel of seven judges not employed by the county. The winner will be awarded a $100 Visa gift card prize which was donated and the county will have a new official seal at no cost to taxpayers.
