Sunshine Coast, QLD incorporates ASPIRE platform into efforts to reduce landfill waste

Sunshine Coast, QLD ASPIRE Platform Reduce Landfill Waste

ASPIRE is an online tool for businesses to sell, buy, and trade waste with other businesses. Local companies list everything from old electronics to wood waste on the platform. Interested parties search for their desired materials and set notifications for new listings. CSIRO and Data61 incorporated an algorithm into the search tool for relevant recommendations. Sunshine Coast is using ASPIRE to encourage circular economic practices by local companies.
