Surrey County Council, GB Smart Street Lighting Project
The council and lighting contractor Skanska will replace or retrofit 89,000 fixtures with LED lights. This project involves an upgrade to the system's central management system by Urban Control. Public works teams can adjust lighting and monitor operations from a single location. Once completed, Surrey County Council will realize £2 million in savings per year along with an annual emissions reduction of 7,700 tons.
