Unincorporated ACT, ACT supports eco-friendly homes with Sustainable Household Scheme

Unincorporated ACT, ACT Sustainable Household Scheme

In Progress

Local residents and charities can apply for no-interest loans up to $15,000 AUD for qualifying purchases. Recipients are able to buy solar panels, efficient fixture upgrades, and energy-saving appliances. Electric vehicle buyers can pair their loans with a separate initiative that provides two years of free plug-in vehicle registration. The Australian Capital Territory hopes the scheme can make net-zero emissions more likely by 2045.
