Eco Renewable Energy (ERE) provided three smart benches at no cost to the city for the six-month pilot. Each city ward houses a solar-powered bench with Wi-Fi connectivity and phone chargers. Climate sensors built into the benches collect air pressure, quality, and temperature data for council analysis. Yarra residents access environmental and connectivity data from a public dashboard maintained by ERE.
