Ashfield District Council recruited volunteers for a short-term evaluation period of six mobile apps. Each app was tested by six volunteers during their day-to-day activities. App features include real-time crime mapping, voice-activated SOS messages to local police, and fall detection sensors that trigger video streaming. Volunteer surveys will help the council choose one app for a two-month trial by 30 participants.
