Aspen, CO transforms its grants program with volunteer committees focused on equity and transparency
Aspen, CO volunteer grant committees
The city of Aspen is transforming its grants program to bring more consistency, transparency, and equity to the process. The city is replacing its standard four-person committee with three new committees consisting entirely of volunteers. Each committee will be focused on specific grant applications: arts & culture, community programs, and health & human services. Each committee will review their applications and make recommendations on what organizations to fund and what amounts to grant.
