Brown County, IN live video streams for 911 calls
The Brown County Sheriff’s Department is using a new tool "Prepared Live" which allows dispatchers to ask smartphone callers, via a text message, for access to a live video feed and GPS location data. The Brown County Sheriff’s Department will not be able to access other data on smartphones, but calls will be recorded. Participation in a video call is completely voluntary, you must consent to the call and the software does not give the department access to data stored on the phone.
