City & County of Cardiff Council, GB Living Wage Partnership
Cardiff Council became an accredited Living Wage City in 2019. A steering group including the council, Cardiff University, and local employers established a goal of 150 Living Wage Employers by 2022. Interested organizations demonstrate living wage plans for full-time employees and contractors during the accreditation process. The partnership generated £36 million in additional payroll payments in its first three years, thus enabling financial security for thousands of workers.
