Copeland Borough Council, GB evaluates e-scooter use in pilot partnership with Ginger

Copeland Borough Council, GB Ginger E-Scooter Pilot

In Progress

The borough and its operating partner will start with 15 Segway MAX units in the port town of Whitehaven. Copeland leaders have the option to expand this fleet to 80 e-scooters depending on early-stage evaluations. Each scooter is parked at a designated spot and travels up to 15 miles per hour for safe operation. This pilot examines how e-scooters fit the need for micro-mobility options connecting transit stops to businesses.
