The City of Durham's Community Safety Department and Community Safety & Wellness Task Force is launching four crisis response pilot programs employing clinicians, unarmed responders, and care navigators. The goal of these programs is to provide rapid trauma-informed care specifically to nonviolent behavioral and mental health 911 calls.
