Het Lux Lab produced two types of smart streetlights for the pilot using a 3D printing process. The single-unit light on Stratumseind is affixed to an existing pole and a three-unit light is suspended by cables over Demer. Each light connects to a centralized system for real-time control over brightness and color. Eindhoven will determine how to best integrate units into Stratumseind's 2023 redevelopment based on pilot results.

Eindhoven test slimme openbare verlichting in de binnenstad | Gemeente Eindhoven

Het lijken wel vliegende schotels, of een soort zwevende kiezels – de twee nieuwe lichtarmaturen die vanaf deze week als test op het Stratumseind en de Demer in Eindhoven hangen. Het is de slimme verlichting voor de openbare ruimte die de gemeente Eindhoven in de gehele binnenstad wil gaan inzetten. De lichtkleur en -intensiteit van de led-lampen in de armaturen kunnen veranderen op basis van de behoeften en daarmee de sfeer en veiligheid verhogen.
