Municipal officials used federal funding for the development of two digital twin prototypes. The local mobility prototype turns traffic data gathered from Telraam crowdsourcing technology into real-time views of active travel. A property management prototype tracks parcel data and availability in the Dietenbach district. DATA:RAUM:FREIBURG will turn prototype results into a centralized resource for departmental and IoT data by 2025.

Arup has developed a digital city twin with two prototypes for this project: An application with local mobility data to create a people-friendly traffic space and a digital sales platform for urban properties.
