The Gloucester Community Building Collective (GCBC) assigns Community Builders to strengthen resident connections to the city. The two-year pilot included a social media campaign called GloucesterCan to promote acts of kindness. A Neighbourhood Fund awarded up to £250 per project for resident-led events. GCBC staff provided food deliveries and recruited 500 Street Champions to check on vulnerable residents in the early months of COVID-19.
Project Succeeded
The GCBC pilot was extended by the city council with the approval of a five-year plan.
