The Municipality of Kävlinge's development strategist for digitization in the Care sector is conducting a four-month trial of RoomMate-brand safety sensors in dementia accommodations to improve safety for residents. The safety sensors activate in the event of a deviation such as falls, inactivity, loud noises and input and output from predefined areas. When activated the sensors send an alarm to the staff's mobile phone prompting a digital inspection with anonymized images to protect privacy.
