Langford, BC Modo Carshare Residents Public Employees

Two electric vehicles and one hybrid car are parked throughout downtown Langford. New members in Langford were eligible for $50 CAD in free driving time during the program's early stages. Modo members access the carshare vehicles during peak daytime hours, while city departments use the vehicles at night. City officials expanded carshare access to public employees for increased utilization of low-emission vehicles and decreased need for fleet replacements.
