Langford, BC collaborates with Modo on carshare program for residents and public employees
Two electric vehicles and one hybrid car are parked throughout downtown Langford. New members in Langford were eligible for $50 CAD in free driving time during the program's early stages. Modo members access the carshare vehicles during peak daytime hours, while city departments use the vehicles at night. City officials expanded carshare access to public employees for increased utilization of low-emission vehicles and decreased need for fleet replacements.

Langford, BC ramped up diagnostic and testing capacities with COVID-19 Response Team
A dedicated phone line provided weekday evaluations of resident symptoms to ease the burdens on local hospitals. The COVID-19 Response Team website housed a self-assessment survey for concerned users. City officials worked with doctors, nurses, and pharmacists to respond with telehealth sessions and prescription deliveries. Langford also dispatched medical professionals to conduct in-home testing for symptomatic residents.

Langford, BC Parcel Information Map brings interactive tools to property research and planning
Langford's GIS Department included a measurement tool to track distances and a drawing tool for user notes. The Parcel Information Map houses current street views, assessments, and zoning information for each lot. Map layers allow users to see fire hydrant locations and additional photos from inspections. An Add Data tab encourages users to create map layers and modifications with their own data sets.
