Langford's GIS Department included a measurement tool to track distances and a drawing tool for user notes. The Parcel Information Map houses current street views, assessments, and zoning information for each lot. Map layers allow users to see fire hydrant locations and additional photos from inspections. An Add Data tab encourages users to create map layers and modifications with their own data sets.
The City of Santa Monica developed a public dashboard to showcase the COVID-19 resources available for residents and local businesses. The dashboard displays the city's coronavirus infection rates daily along with the current hospital availability. The dashboard also includes a resource map which indicates the names and locations of businesses providing essential goods and services during the pandemic.
Wellington City Council partnered with local software developer, PaperKite, to use the Rippl app for cite-wide contact tracing during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Council registered with Rippl to receive unique QR codes that will be displayed at each Council site. Ripple users can scan the QR code when entering or exiting a facility. Health officials will send alerts to anyone who logged themselves at a location in which they could have come in contact with an individual diagnosed with COVID-19.
