The Langley Town Council approved CAD 50,000 per year through 2027 for implementation and plans outside grant applications for related projects.

The Township of Langley created a digital collection calendar with customized notifications to make sure residents never miss their waste collection day. Residents can register their property in order to receive reminders based on their specific municipal collection services. Users can choose to receive notifications via email, phone, tweet, or app the night before or the morning of collection. Users also receive alerts when collection is delayed due to holidays or inclement weather.

Langley, BC digitized its annual WaterWise conservation campaign due to the COVID-19 pandemic
The Township of Langley partnered with the Langley Environmental Partners Society to digitize its annual WaterWise campaign during COVID. WaterWise was designed to promote local water conservation and raise awareness of the Township's valuable water supply. The digital campaign included a video recreating the in-person information session, the "Wheel of Water" educational online game, Zoom seminars discussing private wells and septic systems, and sign-up sheets for water conservation challenges.

The Township of Langley's Economic Investment and Development team partnered with Small Business BC and the Greater Langley Chamber of Commerce to create a small business pop-up. The pop-up provided participants the opportunity to obtain expert advice on a variety of topics for free from local business advisors. Business owners and prospective entrepreneurs were also able to pre-register for a free 15 minute one-on-one consultation.

The Township of Langley launched the "Buy Local - Open for Business directory" to help residents find essential services and supplies during the COVID-19 pandemic. The directory features local businesses with social distancing requirements, delivery options, or contact-free pickup. Langley's Economic Investment and Development staff compiled the directory by calling over 600 local businesses. The directory includes businesses such as grocery stores, banks, pharmacies, animal services, etc.
