The digital twin was built by capturing panoramic images and data points from the city center's 3,000 trees. The greehill MAPLE platform predicts tree health based on factors ranging from temperature changes to vehicle traffic. Municipal officials access the digital twin when evaluating the economic and environmental benefits of Leoben's tree canopy. Leoben establishes a blueprint for data-driven forestry management as the first city in Austria to use the technology.
