London Royal Borough of Greenwich, GB implements pocket parks in effort to cut emissions and traffic

London Royal Borough of Greenwich, GB Pocket Park Emissions

Complete

The borough shaped the development of three pocket parks with surveys and workshops. Sections of Hoskins Street, Mell Street, and Pelton Road are closed to motor vehicles. Each green space includes trees, bike racks, and seating. Pocket parks are located near transit stops to encourage low-emission commutes. Borough officials pursued the pocket park projects as part of its plan to reach net-zero emissions by 2030.
