Masterton District Council launched the "Save a Space" campaign to encourage the use of council carparks and save street parking spots for individuals with young children or less mobility. The Council created an interactive online map showcasing all of its council carparks, the number of parking spaces, and how long it takes to walk into town from the park. The campaign included improved signage reminding residents of the convenience of council carparks and the needs of some for street parking.
