The council applied a calcite bauxite surface on two intersections for a nine-month evaluation period. This high-friction surface damages tires during burnouts, while leaving vehicles following the flow of traffic unscathed. Moreton Bay selected the Bult Drive location as a test of the surface's durability and noise levels under heavy truck traffic. The Forgan Road location was identified as a reckless driving hotspot based on resident reports.
