Naperville, IL text-to-911 option
The city of Naperville has implemented a text-to-911 option for residents who use Verizon, AT&T, or T-Mobile/Sprint wireless service. The text-to-911 option allows residents to message a request for police, fire, or emergency medical assistance but it does not currently offer picture, video, or translation services. The Naperville Police Department advises that residents only use this service if a phone call cannot be made during the emergency.
