Napier City Council, NZ COVID-19 Rapid Response Fund
Napier City Council created a Rapid Response Fund to support non-profit social service and community organisations helping with the city's COVID-19 recovery. The Rapid Response Fund was established by pooling together unallocated community promotion funding and unused grants. The Council has distributed over $47,000 to community organisations in amounts ranging from $200 to $6900. The funds have been used for personal protection equipment, reimbursing volunteers, resolving IT issues, etc.
