New Orleans, LA Public Bicycle Sharing Program
New Orleans is working with the newly created nonprofit Blue Krewe to design a bike-sharing program that meets resident needs. The Public Bicycle Sharing Program addresses transit inequities through the local expertise of its operators. The city previously worked with Social Bicycles on the Blue Bikes program from 2019 until the COVID-19 pandemic. A 75-mile protected cycling lane project under construction will boost ridership through improved safety.

Mayor LaToya Cantrell today expressed approval of the City's partnership with a new local nonprofit organization, Blue Krewe of New Orleans, to bring bike share back to the City of New Orleans.
On January 20, Mayor Cantrell signed an agreement with Blue Krewe to bring back the public on-demand Bicycle Sharing Program.
