Palmerston North City Council, NZ "Welcoming Communities"

Palmerston North City Council launched a two-year pilot of the "Welcoming Communities Standard" program. This program is designed to welcome incoming residents into the Palmerston North community particularly immigrants, refugees, and international students. There are eight standards foundational to the program including inclusive leadership, welcoming communications, equitable access, inclusive communities, economic development, civic engagement, public spaces, and cultural identity.
