Palmerston North City Council is strategically positioning itself as the food innovation capital of New Zealand with a new marketing campaign. The Council spent $50,000 consolidating its 75 different logos, badges, typefaces, and colours into a new single bright green identity which they estimate will reduce graphic design costs by $55,000 annually. The Council decided to rebrand itself after survey results indicated that residents are unclear of the city's strategic advantages.
