Local officials enacted a ban on trucks weighing 7.5 tons or more originating outside of city limits. Sixteen Velodyne Ultra Puck sensors were installed on street lights along roads entering and exiting Rüsselsheim am Main. An AI-enabled platform distinguishes overweight trucks from other vehicles using anonymized data. The Intelligent Infrastructure Solution will also be used for air quality tracking and prediction-based traffic management.
