Sammamish, WA introduces new app to improve city response to non-emergency requests

Sammamish, WA New App Requests City Response

Complete

Each My Sammamish App request starts with the user pinning the exact location in need of service. City residents add categories ranging from flooding to new traffic signs with their requests. An app user sees similar requests for the same location to avoid duplication. City staffers update each request with a color-coded progress indicator. Sammamish worked with SeeClickFix to add departmental contacts, calendars, and emergency notifications to the finished product.

The My Sammamish app gives you a way to quickly and easily report issues such as potholes, damaged street signs, and other local problems that need attention. This app uses GPS to recognize your location and gives you a menu of common issues to select from. The app allows you to upload pictures or videos to accompany your request. The mobile app can also be used for a variety of other requests such as street maintenance, street light requests, damaged trees, and others. You can track the status of your submissions or view reports from other community members.
