Terrassa, CT Vacances Grans Pilot Isolated Seniors Social

Vacances Grans - or Senior Holidays - responded to increased isolation among the 17% of city residents aged 65 and older. Terrassa's social services team worked with the Red Cross to identify 20 qualifying seniors for a four-day retreat. A team of eight volunteers worked with participants on mobility workshops, memory exercises, and other activities. The Vacances Grans pilot continued Terrassa's promotion of active lifestyles and community participation by seniors.
