West Vancouver, BC approves incentive program for e-bike purchases by low-income households

West Vancouver, BC E-Bike Purchase Incentive Program

District officials approved a CAD 135,000 pilot fund for the program. Households between the low-income cut-off and median income levels qualify for CAD 500 rebates on new e-bike purchases. The rebate increases to CAD 1,500 for households falling below the low-income cut-off level. The fund covers up to 500 Tier 1 and 50 Tier 2 rebates. West Vancouver will measure emission reductions, traffic changes, and public transit use throughout the pilot.
