Albuquerque, NM implements Wi-Fi on Wheels program to ensure connectivity during COVID-19

Albuquerque, NM COVID-19 Wi-Fi on Wheels Program

In Progress

The Wi-Fi on Wheels program uses mobile Wi-Fi hotspots at libraries, schools, and parking lots for improved connectivity in outdoor public spaces. Closures of libraries and businesses due to COVID-19 left gaps in connectivity for families, seniors, and the homeless population. City officials pair Wi-Fi on Wheels with other relief services including packaged meals at public schools.
