Austin, TX School District Student Job Training Disabilities

The pilot with Austin Independent School District (AISD) will create employment pathways for 100 participants. Each student becomes a temporary employee of the city after training by an employment expert. A four-department rotation provides students with opportunities to find the right fits for their interests and skills. Participants earn $20 per hour for their work and gain the experience necessary for full-time employment with the city.
