Belfast City Council, GB designs One Million Trees project using resident feedback

Belfast City Council, GB One Million Trees Feedback

Planning

City officials are planning to add one million trees throughout the metro area by 2035. Local residents are encouraged to suggest planting sites on public grounds using an interactive map. Each pin on the map offers an opportunity for the participant to explain why trees would improve the site. Belfast and its project partners will audit current tree canopies to determine the right tree species for maximum environmental benefit.

Help us plan how we can plant one million trees in Belfast by 2035.   Drop a pin on the places that you would like to be considered for possible tree planting locations. Or if you are a business or land owner and you'd be happy to participate in the one million trees programme, please drop a pin and let us know where you are and how you'd like to contribute to the one million trees programme. Please note, at the moment we cannot plant trees in private homes, but please let us know about schools, parks, streets and public places…
