Boston, MA Copley Connect car-free zone pilot program
In Progress
The city of Boston's Planning and Development Agency partnered with Goode Landscape Studio to launch the Copley Connect temporary car-free zone program. During the 10-day pilot, the city will monitor traffic flow and pedestrian movements to determine the positive and negative impacts of closing the block on pedestrians, bikes, cars, buses, etc. The Copley Connect pop-up provides café seating, food trucks, block parties, dance lessons, performances, flexible programming spaces, etc.
