Project leaders conducted surveys through the Be Heard Boulder platform on what residents want from the city's website. An extensive design process led to a beta version with rating surveys on each page. Designers focused on a mobile-first platform that meets users where they consume city services. The redesign project added automated Spanish translation for urgent or most-read pages. Boulder also seeks an easy-to-edit and intuitive website from this process.
