Causeway Coast & Glens Borough Council, GB focuses on rural theft with crime tracking pilot

Causeway Coast & Glens Borough Council, GB Rural Crime

In Progress

A limited number of subsidized CanTrack Protect devices were offered to rural residents. Each participant affixed the device to a vehicle or piece of farming equipment. Protect devices are activated when vehicles are stolen and tracked by law enforcement personnel. Each device is battery-powered with a homing beacon that is impervious to jamming techniques. The pilot addresses enforcement gaps in rural areas and improves stolen property recovery rates.
